Munich's Christmas market is held in the city centre on the beautiful open spaces of Marienplatz . Additionally, the Kripperlmarkt - one of the biggest of Germany Christmas Markets - features cribs and other Nativity accessories, is a short walk away on Rindermarkt. Alpine Christmas music serenades visitors live from the town hall balcony daily, and for children there is the "heaven workshop", offering creative activities at no cost.
